This picture was taken outside the Tabernacle Welsh Baptist Chapel in the Hayes. The landscape of this area has changed almost completely but the tabernacle has remained a constant throughout its 150plus year history. In the left of the picture is the St Davids 2 complex which began life in 2007 beyond the St Davids 2 complex in the far left the John Lewis building can be seen. In the centre right of the picture the state of the art Central Library can be seen. The building itself has won, One or two awards for its architecture and sustainability. Currently the library contains 55,000 ft (17,000 m) of space, 90,000 books, 10,000 of which are written in welsh, and an additional 10,000 CDs and DVDs according to the Cardiff council website.
