This is a closer view of the Central Library. The pictures were taken in Caroline Street or as its better know Chippy Lane. More prominent in this picture is the Alliance sculpture which was commissioned by the St Davids 2 group. French artist Jean-Bernard Métais won a competition to create the piece of artwork that would fit well within the city and become a new landmark. Work began on 16 November 2009 to erect the sculpture and was completed within a two weeks. At night Welsh and English words are projected onto the floor surrounding the sculpture.
